Creative Area

One of the most important basic ideas of the Somuna Festival comes to life in the "Creative Area". This area provides space for creativity and centers the guest of the Somuna Festival as an Artist. In different places materials for creative work are freely available.

The idea is to give the guests of the Somuna Festival the opportunity to become a producer instead of a consumer and to discover the artist within him- and herself. The individual expression, the joy of creation and the discovery and release of creative energy shall be supported.

Bring your drums, rattlings, guitars, didges, flutes etc. Let's jam!

The "Jam Area" is not only a meeting point for musicians who want to play together but also provides a small set of instruments so that anybody has the chance to discover his own musicality.

No matter if you are a painter of not. The playing with colours and shapes and the expression through it is native with every human being and exerts fascination on all of us. The painting area gives space for experiments and artworks on paper, screen and body.

Everything you'll need will be provided. For the bodypainting special colours will be on site.

To get in touch with your own creativity it might help if an artist could introduce you into the basic techniques. The aim of the creative area is to offer various workshops for free to support you in getting started.

Anybody who wants to offer a workshop is being supported by the Somuna team and gets free entry for the festival. If you want to offer a workshop yourself (Yoga, Tai Chi, Dancing, Drumming, Painting etc.) contact us. We need you!

Creativity needs inspiration and additional knowledge can be fruitful. In the reading area you can settle all homely and browse through some books. If you have some books that you want share or trade bring them and deposit them there.
